How to Prepare Puttu (Simple Method)
- Place the required quantity of puttu podi in a bowl and sprinkle water gradually while mixing with your fingers until crumbs hold together lightly (moist but not soggy).
- Layer puttu podi and fresh grated coconut in the puttu maker (or steam in an idli mould) and steam for 5 7 minutes until cooked through.
- Serve hot with banana, kadala (chickpea) curry, or sugar and ghee as preferred.
